Heya all,

Is anyone using Orbot to run Signal through Tor? I guess the voice
calling would fail abysmally but messaging should be fine.

Thanks

At this point, Orbot can't route UDP packets, and I don't believe that
Signal fails over to TCP if UDP is not working. Otherwise, yes, bot the
Orbot VPN "no root" mode or the Transproxy "root" mode should work to
allow Signal TCP traffic to route over TOr.

We are working on a means to use the BadVPN UDP Gateway feature to
tunnel UDP over TCP through Tor, but we need to study about how that
might affect the Tor network first.

Hehe, well that's certainly the right person to answer that question.
Recently installed Orbot, so still getting to grips with it.

Thanks for the info Nathan, keep up the great work.
