Awesome! I didn't know about either of those two projects. Very exciting
to see, this is why we all need to talk to each other more effectively.
While we're talking about such things, here are the projects I DO know
of:
https://github.com/f41c0r/textsecure-client <-- FD: I wrote this
https://github.com/AsamK/textsecure-cli
https://github.com/TerrorM/pytextsecure
https://github.com/janimo/textsecure.git
This one I want to rip out the ubuntu dependencies and turn into a QT
app (which would get you Linux+Winblows+Crap OSX+Android+iOS, at least
in theory) but is written for Ubuntu phone:
https://github.com/janimo/textsecure-qml
Maybe I should put up a bounty on bountysource for someone to do that, I
wonder if anyone would...
Unfortunately its really hard to do Free Software full time. Thanks to
OWS in all you do for making such amazing software and releasing source.
(Now where's the source for the Redphone server!!)

Post by Connor LaniganHi Adam,
the official solution is the Chrome browser extension, which is tied to a
specific installation of the app on a smartphone. As far as I know, there are
no plans at OpenWhisperSystems of developing a "regular"a desktop client.
There is, however, an unofficial desktop client in development called Norvos
[1], developed by me and three other programmers. We have not yet reached a
state where the program is ready for use, but the code is available and any
contribution is always very welcome. [2] If you want more information, feel
free to contact me.
There's also another client in development, written in Scala by Moritz
Maxeiner, but I don't know about its progress. It is called TextSecureFX.

What's going on with this? Any existing code living in a fork somewhere?
Abandoned for a web client or browser extension? I'd like to contribute.
