Hi,

what about having a built in default notification sound/ringtone that is
specific for Signal/TS.
Could be used on all platforms then.

There is surely some audio genius around here willing to compose sth.

Hi McLoo,

We got custom ringtones designed for Signal by the talented Abelard <http://abelard.bandcamp.com/> and are currently used on iOS.

Hello,

On Github I see in the commits that a "device management" screen is added.
It is made inaccessible in 2.20.0, but I wonder what it will be doing. Is
this a link to the (unfortunately Chrome only) browser plugin? Or is this
something else, like being able to use the same TS identity on multiple
devices like tablets without requiring tricks with temporary phone numbers
and Titanium Backup?

The device management section will show the devices that you have paired
with your phone
I understand that, but I wonder if this would be browsers or tablets or
other phones or both.
(however it's not yet clear where this section will appear
In Settings, between "Delete old messages" and "Advanced". I built a test
version of 2.20.0 where I enabled these settings but other than requiring
internet connection I could not get them to work.
exactly). Right now the only way I know of to pair a device is to use the
(why unfortunately?) Chrome extension.
Unfortunately because I don't like Chrome. If this will be the only way to
use it I'll keep with the TextSecure installation I put on my tablet with
Titanium Backup.
You mentioned Titanium Backup. I don't know what it is,
A tool to backup applications and their settings on rooted devices. If you
know whet you're doing you can use it with TS. However, as always, with
great power comes great responsibility. You can also fuck things up with
it.

It's not accessible because it's not finished, but it is for eventual
multi-device support, starting with the browser.
