what are required steps to secure chatting?

1) install app... from where? is that place trusted?

hi, slava!

"security" has different meanings for different people and it depends of
your threat model. what steffen wrote would hold for majority of us.

but if your opponent is a strong and resourceful actor (such as state),
then you have to educate yourself far more. in that case it's probably
better for you to not use mobile phone for secure communication. not
because Signal isn't good but because phones are flawed beyond repair
security wise.
