If we make calls with Signal we get call logs in the conversation timelines. If there were many calls with the same person the conversation timeline could get full only of call logs, which are kind of less important then the messages with those people (that are now hidden). There's already an issue on GitHub to allow to manualy delete call logs, but sometimes we don't want to do that.

I think that a new feature would be wellcome, where if you have more then three calls in succsession they all get hidden into the latest call log and you can view them all if you tap on that call log.

I think you'd have a more user friendly UX with this feature.

Let me ask, do we need the call log showning (cluttering) up the conversation? Maybe the call history should be shown only on demand?

Signal of iOS works the same way, and yes I think we should be able to delete the call logs manually as we can do for text messages.

Or maybe for two consecutive calls and more just write one line with the number of calls (and showing details by touching this line)?

i think it's good to have logs, every dialer has them, and it's also
good that they are in conversation timeline, because this way you get
the feeling when exactly certain event (message-call-message...)
happened. but if the only way to hide them would be to delete individual
entries that wouldn't a perfect solution. if we could only suppress
them, so that they don't disturb the conversation but they are still at
the exact place in time where they have to be, that would solve the
problem.
