[whispersystems] signal client for federated servers

hello

actually protocol used by signal allows federation.

and openwhisper also contributed an open source server.

i do not know if the protocol is better than xmpp but at list the actual
android and ios signal clients are better than opensource xmpp clients.

actully they are only 2 public servers for signal protocol : openwhisper
ones and cyanogen ones.

i would be interested in a slightly modified version of clients that would
allow server selection.

to regain the federated aspect of xmpp but with more the advanced signal
based clients

would there be any other people interested in that ?
